START is a ministry of Calvary Temple Worship Center designed to provide a safe environment for individuals struggling with the effects of substance abuse or other additions. We offer biblically based encouragement, guidance, instruction and friendship to those desiring to maintain victory and increase Godís blessings in their lives.

Goals:

To provide support and assistance with deliverance and recovery from substance abuse.
To provide a program that will assist addicts in dealing with their addiction in an atmosphere of love and compassion.
To provide opportunities for individuals struggling with any addiction to discover freedom in Jesus Christ.
To provide fellowship and help build healthy relationships within the Body of Christ.

Rich and Deanna Villafana are the Ministry Directors of START, reporting to Pastor Rob Jones.

START runs year-round and has a continual open enrollment. The curriculum, "Celebrate Recovery," follows a 12 month program, but newcomers can easily jump into the class at any time. "Celebrate Recovery" is a recovery program based on the eight principles of the Beatitudes and Christ-centered 12 Steps. Through this program, we grow spiritually. We become free from our addiction, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy, and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others. As we progress through the principles and the steps, we discover our personal, loving and forgiving Higher Power - Jesus Christ.

Cost: There is a $20 cost for the workbook only. But please join us even if you don't have a book.

Meetings include worship, testimonies, Biblical teaching, prayer and fellowship.
