BIOGRAPHY
Pastor Doug Mattingly is currently serving as the Assimilations Pastor at Calvary Temple Worship Center. It includes the Altar Ministry, Usher Ministry, Welcome Center, Greeters, Security, and the growth of newcomers into the various volunteer and personal growth possibilities at the church.
Growing up in a Catholic home in New Haven, Kentucky, Pastor Doug didn’t have an understanding of the intimate relationship God wanted with him. However, that all changed when his future bride brought him to Calvary Temple Worship Center. There, without even knowing what an altar call was, Pastor Doug walked down to the altar and accepted God as His personal Lord and Savior. Pastor Doug knew he had been called to serve God’s kingdom. He ushered for several years, which included time as Pastor Berteau’s Armor Bearer, moving to usher leader and Leader of Assimilations.
In the summer of 2008, Pastor Doug saw a wonderful movement of God take place in his life. He was still serving in the Air Force and had orders to North Dakota. However, he felt that God hadn’t released him from Modesto. God needed to intervene and He did; Pastor Doug was selected for early retirement. Out of 82 applicants, 3 were selected. God had closed that door and opened a new season in his life.
Pastor Doug and his wife Shannen have a passion to serve God and His kingdom. They not only have a desire for God’s children to know the joy of serving others, but also for the lost of this city to be set free.
